THERE'S SUCCESS IN EVERY PAIN

You are a young person, a parent, a teacher, a priest, a president and others who are reading this today; I know life has not given you all time pleasant moments of happiness without sadness. Without the hurt of the heart and the tear of the heart with bitter tears and ripped off personality. Well, if you have never encountered that moment then you have to prepare.

Prepare to face it like an eagle. Prepare to mount and be a mountain even if you whether slowly, you can withstand and hold the position right. Without pain, you can never understand struggle. Without struggle you will never see the reasons to push on, keep abreast and always believe that the doors to success will open.

They may not open all at once and your life become so smooth and swift the way you can imagine. No. Success comes in bits. It comes with the efforts you put into your actions and not your words. For you can talk all day but never change a thing. But if you act, if you fit the key into the keyhole and turn it to open, if you hold the knob and unlock the door to get in and set for the work that you have to do to prove your pains and determination that you have to undergo to reach the path with fruits, then you are doomed.

I like it when life is referred to us as a bed of roses. Roses have thorns. Roses are beautiful. Beauty comes with a price. A well-kept homestead with a beautiful flower garden and cut grass comes to existence as efforts of the dwellers. Today, purpose to be stronger because you are strong already. Look forward to hurt keeping in mind that you are a winner even though pain may try to pin you down and drag you to a corner.

You are exemplary. That's why you are never completely the exact copy of the other. Use what you have for the better of you and the society at large. Share your pain. Share your success. I know, a number of people will mute when they succeed. But for anyone who knows the real pain without the use of corruption, nepotism, tribalism and the rest will never forget his or her ways to the top hence will always look up to the best.

It is your time. Make it happen. It is never too hard to make it a reality. If our forefathers did it, then we can endure it and be the best among the best; be the wisest among the wise. The ball is in your coat friend. What do you choose? Pain? Success? Both?

A LETTER TO MY WIFE

If l make it not from this war-zone
Let this letter reach my beloved
Wife, let her break its seal
With her bare hands

Let her read it with love and care
Let her read it not with teary
Eyes, tell her to be brave for
My dog chain still rests on my chest

Let her read it this way...
Sweetheart l wish l was there with
You this valentines, to give you
A Rose flower and wet your lips
With red wine...

But the path l chose allows me not
I am made to lie on a thirsty
Ground to defend our cause
Surrounded by a garden laden
With skulls that emptily stare up
Space as a menace of terror

Grip our camp
Sweaty faces faced with long
Lost humane
Dear wife l don't want to scare
You off, l am fine to die with
Cause instead of dying in the course
Of suppression...

Give my people the wine up the
Cabinet, let them quench their
Thirst fill their stomachs with
Bread, let their bodies sway and
Dance to the rhythm and sound
Of the drums...

Let their torn souls
Find purpose to sing the song
Of Lawino as their feet stamp hard
As they shout chants of revolution
Dear wife, if l be M . I. A, let my
Son Malcom know that dad died
With a cause in the course of
Seeking a better nation

He died trying to instill revolution
In the hearts of our people
If he understands not let him
Know that his dad was a poet
Who aspired not to be famous

But one who wrote to unveil
Change to break loose and free
From the chains of oppression
If i make it not from this war-zone
Let me be buried in my
Motherland

4 Ways to Tell Love is Blind

There comes a time and an age in life that we need some special individuals to share our feelings, love, craziness and all the fun we have ever dreamnt of. Someone to feel. Someone to love. Someone to hold, kiss, touch, share the words that drive us to the worlds unknown; just like a dream come true.

These are the times we become more noticeable. We look beautiful, pretty, handsome, curvy, and friendly, name it all towards the opposite sex. Men look masculine with broadened shoulders that girls could hardly doubt protection; he can even fight a lion and kill it just to protect her.

Well, some feel too secure and totally in a world of their own. Love blinds them to the extent that they feel the most powerful in the world. The world becomes a better place to exist and share every bit of love games they can indulge. Nevertheless forget the true meaning of love. They stay in the darkness of the blind love; and take no heed to any piece of advice because they believe to be the masters of love.

For instance, when love is blind:

      1. There’s immense infatuation
Infatuation at first sight can happen, but not love. Love is a spiritual and emotional connection between two people. A number of youths have fallen into relationships that I can term as fantasies.

They easily get carried away by the unreasoned passion and believe it is love when they are just passing and wasting time for each other. The couple loses interest in everything that pertains to the normality of a relationship. In a number of cases, some will neglect the duties of life as if they were matters of little concern.

Love is infatuated when it is described as the warm glow of impulse, the fascination of one young person for another. True love has an intellectual basis; deep thorough knowledge of the object loved.

2.There’s too much ignorance
Love is blind when the reason to falling in love is blinded and judgment overthrown. Youths tend to hate corrections from their elder because they trust their judgement more. The involved in such a relationship will not submit to any advice or control but rather insist on having their own way, regardless of the consequences.

Most of us believe we know it all than even our parents who have passed through the same route to get where they are. The best advisors must be our parents.
Ignorance is realized either after a heartbreak or when the relationship is unstable.

3.There’s more use of words than actions
Relationships that involve much of words and less of actions are blinded in a pool of succumbing. Love is actions in truth. Actions does not necessarily mean making love or acting married when no member from your family or friends have approved it.

Actions such as patience, trust and tolerance must be instilled. Some involves themselves in too much of words and forget to act in line with their future. Words that do not actualize in actions will never change anything rather waste the special time for building a firm foundation for the relationship.

       4. Rules and principles are broken
Take an example of campus relationships, a number of times those that fantasize to be in love break rules and principles they have set to guide them. Some might end up indulging themselves in alcohol intake, immorality among other vices that can corrupt their being and mind just to fit the circle of ‘blind love’.

This mainly happens to make the other partner happy or fit into his or her world of fun. Once one breaks the rules towards the negative side alluding it as following where the heart wants to be is blind love. Blind love sets in vices and scraps off virtues.

Though blind love may not be as bad as illustrated, sometimes it may give room to knowing the right and the wrong after a bitter experience.
