Dear Mother Varsity: Tears Hurt; Tears the Heart

Our eyes will always fill with tears
Lame hearts inhabited much fears
Dark valleys and shadows of death
walketh
Mute, mouths not speaketh
Agonies and discomforts
Pities and sympathies.

Abortions perceived a normality
Killings rated an abnormality
Still in the deepest ends of darkness
Evil emanates; rob us to our nothingness
Ghost structures, lecturers, courses
Insecurity, infidelity, immorality
Politics, tribalism, nepotism,
Abortion, corruption

Heareth me speak dear mother varsity
You have disregarded your responsibility
Considered you important than the scholars in the vicinity
Slowly but sure shrinking us to grains of sand as you mount
Keenly and mercilessly drink from our cups as we fill
Like an ogre; scare nos beings to magnitudes of your will
Enough mother varsity! It’s au-dela de nos esperances

We have lacked our humanity
For we put up with and embraced your insanity
No words within and beyond to truly tell of our tribulations
For there is a bridge; delicate for corruption keepeth her mumb
Food for the stomach and the stomach for food
But the Great One, the Father of all,
The Almighty will destroy them all

Your bulls bore calves
Your cocks laid eggs
Your sons bore babies
Your daughters became
sponsors to university boys
Why?
Just because you ‘grew horns’?
Just because you are a ‘glutton’?
Just because you froze my allowances
and made yourself comfortable?
Just because I am young?

But, No, you lack humanity
You tear my eyes and tear my
heart for your comfort-ability
Into the dungeon of pain so much
And leave me with a painful touch
Into several pieces my heart you break
And leave the hopeless and helpless me for a sad trek
I know, I will survive just because He lives.

Dear mother varsity
Use this as a facility
And giveth me peace
Offer to me sentiments of kindness
For the better of our voyage to a destiny we cannot see.
