Top Places a Moi University Student Spends Weekends

Moi University

There are distinct places that most Moi University students will spend their weekends in order to relax their minds off books after a busy week. Some will call it, ‘kutafuta fomu ya wikendi.'.' For instance, these are some of the identical places you will find a number of students.

Church

Moi University Students' Catholic Church
There are a number of religions in the university stretching from Muslim to Christianity. A number of students will assemble in their respective churches and mosques to worship. This is how the strong in their faith will spend it and fill their hearts with the Holy Word.

Library

Most students will prefer doing their studies and assignments during the weekends. The Margaret Thatcher Library provides a quiet environment with an accessed network where students will do their assignments from.

Kesses Dam
The beautiful Kesses Dam
Kesses is located outside the campus though it is just a walking distance. Every weekend one could notice groups of students heading to this beautiful site. A number of activities take place in this dam, for instance, boat riding, swimming and playing. The nearby environment has a scenery that couples will spend during their picnic. Members of clubs from the university will always prioritise Kesses Dam at any given weekend.

Falls

Students having fun at Falls
There are falls within the varsity environment where some students will rather spend their time taking photos and admiring the waters as they fall. This place offers a scenic nature that most campuses do not have hence saving money for a number of Moi University students to travelling to see waterfalls, for instance, Fourteen Falls.
Hostels

Some students will prefer to rest in their rooms. Since the whole week they involved themselves in books, weekend time is spent on cleaning and rearranging their rooms and set themselves for the incoming week. Others might probably spend their time watching movies and the football matches in their respective hostels.

 Shopping Centre

A number of them spend their time shopping for the coming week. Saturdays are meant for a shopping day at Mabs. Students will be seen walking towards this market centre to buy groceries, clothing and any other item in their shopping list.

Eldoret Town

It can happen that another luxury that may lack around the campus is found in this town. For example, some students will travel to Poa Place for swimming. Some will opt to shop from town since there is variety to choose from compared to shops within the university.

Clubs and bashes

There is that group of scholars that will rather involve themselves in alcoholic drinking. You will see a number of them in clubs the likes of F2. Some will organise bashes with friends to share meals and drinks.

In one way or another, any Moi University student will fall in one of these categories of places where he or she can spend the weekend.
